Human Monuments

1920's Flapper Girl

Fresh from the decadence of the 1920s Flapper Girl brings a slightly naughty sophistication and style to your event.

Man vs. Jelly

THRILL to the passion, the drama, the pathos, the excitement as this monument depicts the final showdown between man and his nemesis: Lime Jelly.  WATCH in fascinated horror (or walk straight past) as he explores the vagaries of the human condition, contrasting mans need for nourishment with his inability to eat it with even a modicum of efficiency.

Napoleon

A striking statue of the Great Emperor.  Comprising all his famous poses and more.

Angel

From the hands of master craftsman Rossellino and plucked straight from the walls of Reims Cathedral, this statue brings a divine presence to any occasion (harp not included)

King Midas

Everything he touches turns to gold, especially Himself.  With lordly pomp and slapstick quick-witted humour this regal monument strolls about his vast estates rewarding the virtuous and allowing the peasants to kiss his rings.

Rugby Player

A living breathing monument to New Zealand's most sacred of pass-times: the sport of Rugby Union.  Coated completely in silver he freezes in a most amusing array of classic rugby poses.

Pioneer Woman

She is a page straight of New Zealand's Early Settler history, artfully painted to closely resemble antiqued copper she is the performer most likely to be mistaken for a real statue.

The Whizzer of Odd

Turned into a statue by a bad wizard, he hasn’t moved for a hundred years. But is the spell starting to wear off ? [Also available as a roving character ]

Mermaid

A beautiful fish out of water, straight from romantic legends, the mermaid on her rock will add colour to any event.

Redman

A living statue of a dapper 1920s gentleman coated completely in bright red paint. Sometimes he is seemingly oblivious to the audience, other times he responds humorously to their gestures and suggestions.

The combination of the eerily silent frozen poses and the small but rapid occasional movements make this simple piece of street theatre most compelling entertainment.

The Captain

The Captain (from the mid 18th Century), is has disembarked from his Schooner and is hoping to meet the locals to further his exploration.

Elizabethan Footmen

Two domestic Gentlemen are ready for duty. They will however try their utmost to perform it as slowly as possible. (Similar costume as the roving characters "The Apologisers").

1920's Servants

Art Deco style Butlers and Maids add distinction to your event.

Mud Man

He appears as a freshly completed clay sculpture of either a Modern Businessman, 1950's Camper or a French Renaissance Artist.  He is completely covered from head to toe in sticky mud ... props costumes and all.

The Red Queen

The Chess Piece from Through the Looking Glass (Alice in Wonderland) - not to be confused with the Queen of Hearts!

Artemis

Artemis is the Greek Goddess of the Hunt.  She is dressed all in white and carries a bow and quiver of arrows. She spends most of her time searching for and stalking her prey.  Once she is ready she will let fly one of her harmless arrows, to the delight of the crowd.

1950's Farming Couple

A typically old fashioned "cocky" having a spot of bother with his farming chores is visited by his loving wife bearing morning tea.  Life is never easy for this couple and the predicaments they get themselves into will amuse and delight.

Cupid

Pretty winged and white, this mischievous creature stalks the crowd in the name of love.
